“Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” – Joseph Addison
“Books are the keys to wisdom.” – Thomas Jefferson
“Meditation is not about stopping thoughts, but recognizing that we are more than our thoughts and our feelings.” — Arianna Huffington
What you are about to read is a 90 day mediation book which I hope may help you in some way.
For all of my life I have loved animals. Big, small, tame or wild, it does not make a difference to me. They have graced my life, for all of my life. They have been there when people haven’t. They have loved me when I did not love myself. And they have taught me, and taught me well.
They have taught me lessons about life and living, which I may never have learned had it not been for them. In their humble ways they have taught me how to be strong. In their hunting they have taught me how to be patient. With their courage, that have taught me how to face anything.
With their living in the moment they have taught me to do so also. With their quiet ways they have taught me to think before I act.
They have taught me much, these creatures who have touched my life and shared this journey through time together with me.
But to keep their lessons a secret, would be not to honor them or share what they so freely shared with me. So, this small book is a tribute to them and a way of sharing their lessons with the world.
By listening to their lessons, we can make our Recovery a better place to be. We can learn how to keep it simple, one moment at a time.
We can learn how to face challenges with a whole new perspective and plan.
A simple plan it is. Nothing fancy really or anything that needs to be studied for years to attain.
It just requires seeing the lesson and using it daily. One Day At A Time. Or if you wish just let it fall open to any page where an animal guide may have a message just for you!
90-day meditation guide
Through the observation of animals, this book offers stories, teachings, and exercises that guide us on a journey of self-discovery and healing. This book provides many valuable lessons that we can apply to our lives.
Hi! My name is Geri. What you are about to read is a 90 day mediation book which I hope may help you in some way.
Animals have a fascinating way of adapting to their environment and surviving. By observing their behavior and characteristics, we can gain valuable insights into our own lives. These insights can help us to better understand our own behaviors and how to interact with those around us. Animals can also teach us lessons about resilience, adaptation.
One day while watching the Discovery Channel, a program came on about at a pride of lions in the plains of Africa. It followed their lives for a period of time, showing how they lived, and what they must face to survive. Under the shade of a Acacia tree the lions rested, seemingly oblivious to the heat that coverd the plains in moving blanket, rising and falling with each small breeze.
It was a Thursday afternoon and I was busy at work when the storm came. The sky danced through shades of blue and green, and it began to look like early evening. The thunder began to announce the arrival of the coming storm. Sitting by my office window I could see the sparrow's nest neatly built in the eaves trough, safely tucked under the roof of the building, I wondered how this small nest would hold up under what looked to be a frightening storm approaching.
It's a beautiful day. The sun is shinning and the water is warm. The dolphin is happily swimming and dancing through the clear blue sea. Leaping with joy he breaks through the waves to look at the world above his own. In the distance he sees many boats moving across the water, and then he sees something else. A small dot bobbing up and down in the rolling sea,. He moves closer to get a better look. All of his instincts warm him to be careful here. There are people near and people can be dangerous. As he moves closer he sees this strange creature. He doesn't recognize this to be anything he has seen before.
it's winter. Cold and wet. He has tracked the caribou for miles. he needs to eat and this may be his last chance. With what little strength he has left he gives chase. The kill isn't easy for the bear to make. He is tierd, hungy and weak. And the caribou is strong and fast. But the bear has no choice. Catching up to his prey he grabs on and brings the caribou down. Painting and tired he lays on his now dead prey, almost too exhausted to eat. He begins to realize that he is not alone.
For weeks she has guarded her eggs, waiting for them to hatch. She has never left her nest . Normally , this Croc would be hunting. She would seek and take down prey much larger then she. She would use all of her power and strength to twist and turn ripping her prey into bite sized pieces. There would be other Croc's who would try to steal her meal and she would have to hold on. She has faced elephants and lions and not backed down. Her strength, stamina, and courage make up the magnificent creature that she is.
She is the alpha female. She has given birth to many in her pack. She has led them on the hunt. She has defended the den. She has taught them all they know. She has been their leader, teacher, and protector. For many seasons she has defended her territory from intruders, other packs who would claim her hunting grounds as their own.
It’s Winter and it’s cold. A blanket of white has covered the land the wind is howling and the snow keeps coming. The bison need water and even though they may eat the snow they journey onward to find fresh water in the hot springs that they visit each year. Slowly they make their way through the deep snow in a line that seems to stretch forever. The cows make a path for the young to follow. It’s a slow journey, pushing their way through the deep blanket of white. But they are not alone.
She was two months old when we first met. A tiny ball of Shitsu puppy fluff. A small nervous creature who was recovering from surgery from a broken hip. Six months later, we met again. This time her owner called late at night almost hysterical. Her elderly owner had suffered a stroke and could no longer care for this shy, nervous puppy. She begged me to come and get her as soon as I could.
These messages can offer guidance, inspiration, and a fresh perspective on various aspects of your life. Embracing the possibility of encountering an animal guide’s message can help you navigate through challenges.

5 stars Important lessons everyone should learn! Reviewed in Canada on November 17, 2021 Verified Purchase I have bought a few copies of this book. One for someone just coming out of rehab, one who was searching for a way to meditate daily...and I, of course, bought a copy for myself!!! This book isn't just a must-read for the valuable lessons shared in this book but for all the interesting information about a large number of animals. I am seeing that learning some animal facts from this book reminds you of the lesson that particular animal taught the author. When there are thoughts, it is distraction: when there are no thoughts, it is meditation.
It is in these moments of stillness that we can truly connect with our inner selves and discover the profound wisdom that lies within.”
Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.” – Joseph Addison
