Hello, my name is Geri, and I am thrilled to share with you my passion for addiction counseling. With over 30 years of valuable experience in the field, I have developed a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities associated with addiction.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Addictions, as well as a Diploma in the field. These qualifications have given me a solid foundation of knowledge and a deep understanding of the intricate mechanisms of addiction.
As a member of Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF), I am proud to be a part of an organization that not only recognizes my professional qualifications but also underscores my commitment to providing the highest standards of care and support to my clients.
I have recently embarked on a new journey as a writer. After publishing my first book, titled “Lessons from the Animals,” I am thrilled to announce that I am currently working on a second novel. Writing allows me to explore different perspectives, explore human emotions, and share insights that contribute to personal growth and healing.
Writing is not just about self-expression; it is also a powerful tool for raising awareness and promoting positive change. Through my writing, I aim to shed light on the struggles faced by those struggling with addiction, challenge societal stigmas, and provide hope and inspiration to those on their path to recovery. I am here to support and guide you every step of the way. Together, we can embark on a journey towards healing and self-discovery.
When there are thoughts, it is distraction: when there are no thoughts, it is meditation.
